      I am currently working at Hitachi Europe as site service manager in the Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) facility located in the hospital “Clinica Universidad de Navarra” in Madrid. I am in charge of managing the Service Maintenance Organization (SMO) that supervises the operation and implements maintenance of the largest PBT facility in Europe for cancer treatment. The facility consists of the unique synchrotron accelerator, LINAC, vacuum system, cooling water system, pneumatic system, X-Ray and Imaging system, low voltage power supply and control and instrument system. In my daily work I do the following main tasks:-Plan preventive and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with the manufacturer Hitachi Ltd- Supervise the status of the facility and report the manufacturer as well as the customer in English and Japanese-Management of spare parts and suppliers- Implement and supervise maintenance works with the engineers-Optimize activities and reduce costs-Quality control-Ensure compliance with applicable Spanish Regulations and EU Medical Device Regulations-Solve problems Show less For more than ten years I worked at Hitachi-GE Nuclear Energy, Ltd., in Japan. I was in charge of domestic and overseas nuclear power plant processes and mechanical systems engineering with experience in more than 10 projects. Specifically, I led and managed the engineering activities for the design, test and operation of the Nuclear System Supply Systems (NSSS), nuclear safety systems (shutdown, cooling, containment, etc.), utility systems (water, gas, steam and fuel oil supplies) and new safety facilities against aircraft impact and other terrorist attacks for Advanced Boiling Water Reactors (ABWRs) and Boiling Water Reactors (BWRs).
