      Bachelor's degree Software Engineering

The universities in Denmark generally aim to promote group work and something called PBL ( problem-based learning ). We get all sorts of courses, most of the skills acquired are listed down below but I would like to mention one special. It's called SEP. I don't really know what it stands for but besides coding, they teach us about interesting topics such as how culture affects your work-life, what personality type are you and soft skills

      Freelance Web Developer

When I was starting with web development, I did a lot of projects for free. However, later on, when I was fully satisfied with my work, I gained my first paid project. But in the early days, the biggest struggle was communication with a client and looking for help. I highly appreciate the help of open-source communities so I decided to contribute as well.

During my time in Boosterberg, I was taking care of our clients, and whenever they had a technical problem I was there for help. I had the opportunity to learn more about Facebook and Instagram advertising and marketing.

This was the best workplace so far. We joked around a lot and we did a lot of good work. I had to leave this wonderful workplace because I was young and inexperienced and also I moved to Denmark for my studies. What I loved the most was that I collaborated with people from all sorts of walks of life namely from the U.S. After this I came to like Americans a lot and their always positive attitude which I try to have as well. I improved my English and my technical skills a lot.

Not a tech job but it will do. Mostly cleaning and maintaining order at the campus. However, my future employers and colleagues might appreciate two skills I acquired here: punctuality & cleanliness As a student of the university I was blessed to mentor the newcoming students. The majority of the work was done in August in their first weeks in Denmark but I continued to be a mentor throughout their first semester. The most important part of this job is the feedback provided to the administration.

A fun time with friends. An opportunity to discover new interests and talents. A tool to develop essential skills for life and work. A recognised mark of achievement; respected by employers. The DofE is many things to many people, supporting generations to successfully navigate adult life.14-24 year-olds can do a DofE programme at one of three progressive levels which, when successfully completed, leads to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. There are four sections to complete at the Bronze and Silver level and five at Gold. They involve helping the community/environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition and, for Gold only, working with a team on a residential activity.Any young person can do their DofE – regardless of ability, gender, background or location. Achieving an Award isn’t a competition or about being first. It’s all about setting personal challenges and pushing personal boundaries.Through a DofE programme, young people have fun, make friends, improve their self-esteem and build confidence. They gain essential skills and attributes for work and life such as resilience, problem-solving, team-working, communication and drive, enhancing CVs and uni and job applications. Top employers recognise the work-ready skills Award holders bring to their business. The DofE licenses organisations that work with young people to run DofE programmes, such as schools, colleges, youth groups and clubs. Through the Licensed Organisation (LO) young people (or their parents/carers) pay for a Participation Place and are supported by Leaders who support them through their programmes, helping them to choose their activities, set their objectives and achieve their Award.
