    • J.C. Smith Events, LLC

      Dec 2010 - now
BUSINESS OWNER - CONFERENCE CONSULTING FIRM

I am the owner/operator of J.C. Smith Events, LLC conference consulting firm. I provide conference sales and planning consulting services for corporate and non-profit live events. For 12 years I have focused on building and supervising sponsorship sales departments for growing national companies and non-profit organizations as well as expanding and fine-tuning experiences in all areas of event planning. My unique experiences with each company or organization allow me to become highly involved in the initial structuring of the event from the ground up or the rebranding of an already existing event. I develop full sales campaigns for corporate sponsorship opportunities for both non-profits and mid-sized companies. In addition, I have experience building and maintaining relationships while collaborating and coordinating with the event venue personnel and outside vendors. I thoroughly enjoy the excitement of large educational environments as well as pride myself on collaborating with a cohesive team that experiences a highly successful event. My skills are best suited for companies who are looking to build new fresh and long-term opportunities with new corporate clients as well as ongoing, dedicated partners in many industries. I strive to enhance corporate relationships and collaborate with team members, all built on the foundation of trust and putting others first. I have enhanced my strategic knowledge by obtaining a Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) which is graduate-level meeting strategy coursework such as negotiation strategies, process improvement, change management, cross-functional global leadership strategies, operational and financial performance analysis, flexible budgeting, profit forecasting, and more essential executive leadership skills. This is paired with my Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor’s degree in English and Photography. Show less
