  Child Advocate- Provided supportive intervention services to children and adolescents using individual, family, and group support. Included were child and teen victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. - Advocated for children and adolescents to ensure rehabilitation and recovery as domestic violence and sexual abuse victims.- Provided education opportunities for mothers and children by teaching non-violent methods of conflict resolution, child growth development, and related parenting skills. Legal Advocate- Appointed by Chief Superior Court Judge Bill Reinhardt to act as an advocate for client’s seeking protection orders. - Provided assistance with the preparation of Temporary Protective Orders for victims of stalking and family violence.- Accompanied clients to meet with the Judge and attended all court hearings involving their case.- Acted as liaison between the clients and the courts.   - Conduct forensic interviews of children alleging physical or sexual abuse, severe neglect, and children who have witnessed a violent crime - Provide expert testimony in court for child abuse and sexual assault cases- Collaborate with a Multi-Disciplinary Team consisting of law enforcement, DFCS, District Attorney’s Office, school systems, DJJ, and the medical and mental health communities to review cases and enhance response to child abuse and sexual assault cases. - Apply for and manage federal, state, and local grants - Coordinate and provide community outreach and awareness of child physical and sexual abuse and adult sexual assault.- Organize fundraising events to benefit the center - Coordinate all other business and daily operations of the children's advocacy center Show less
