      Manage a stewardship program that is responsible for the oversight of 5000+ acres of Conservation Easement land and 1400+ acres of fee owned land. The fee land responsibility includes ecological planning, where the natural resources of each property are inventoried and used to prepare management plans; ecological restoration, where degraded ecosystems are identified and restored; and sustainable forest management, where long term forest stewardship plans are developed and implemented. The conservation easement duties include annual monitoring of all easements, preparing baseline documentation reports, and assisting landowners with their property management challenges. Develop, plan, bid, and administer a range of habitat management activities on state lands using both private sector vendors and MassWildlife staff; and provide technical assistance on habitat enhancement to private and public landowners and organizations. Manage and oversee Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and Wildlife Conservation Easement (WCE) properties including annual monitoring, boundary marking, signage installation and investigating illegal trespass/encroachment. Participate in habitat restoration and management projects including operating machinery, prescribed burns, herbicide application or other habitat management techniques.
