      • Directed the 25-member team during its transition from RWD to 4WD powertrain, contributing to 5 trophy wins• Assessed integration of increased and/or larger components in the vehicle using simple, easy-to-make prototypes. Ensured safe and ergonomic driver space in cockpit• Streamlined Vehicle Dynamics & CAE design processes leading to well-defined engineering practices, ranking 6th in CAE Evaluation• Directed a 5-member simulation team for virtual events in IPG CarMaker winning 2 trophies in the Suspension & Traction and All-Terrain Performance events across 2 seasons. • Led an initiative to reduce mount clips weight by accurately modelling welded attachments and conducting topology optimization across scenarios specific to each clip, achieving 32% overall weight reduction Show less • Designed front and rear independent suspension and steering sub-systems. Reduced weight by 30% in rear suspension by introducing a new design. Incorporated a backup suspension design in the same chassis. Validated the rear suspension by manufacturing and testing a prototype on the previous vehicle.• Instituted accurate full vehicle CAD assembly modelling to determine missing parameters: vehicle weight and CG height. These parameters were expected to change during transition from RWD to 4WD layout• Designed suspension springs and tuned dampers to optimize ride frequencies to ensure a flat ride • Led the simulations team to secure All India Rank 3 in All-Terrain Performance Event and overall All India Rank 4 Show less • Designed a 50% lighter steering wheel by changing material, pipe dimensions and designing shape as per driver's need. Collaborated with driver to provide better ergonomic steering wheel angle, by appropriately placing steering components• Analyzed suspension & steering kinematic behaviour by simulating in Lotus SHARK & MSC Adams by determining camber change, toe change, wheelbase change and trackwidth change to provide a turning radius <2m and 15% more wheel travel in rear suspension.• Calculated weight transfer values for front and rear axles, using MS Excel to finalize roll center heights• Represented the team at the Design Evaluation event during its first international participation at Baja SAE Illinois Show less

      • Performed topology optimization on a current vehicle's front suspension lower control arm. Reduced weight by a target 10%• Performed durability analysis, NVH analysis and topology optimization on a subframe using HyperWorks. These results were used to verify results from a new proposed software (OmniQuest Genesis)• Created an FE Model of Chassis BIW simulating spot welds by using spot connectors. This model was further used to create a MNF file

      May 2023 - May 2024
      Simulation Engineer

Worked on the Simulation Based Product Development team. My primary focus was on numerical simulations to support the design & development decisions of new products – Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).• Developed a robust, new methodology to determine optimal closing force in all ATS. This step-wise method is adaptable performance parameters like flight time. While focused on Ansys, the methodology can be applied across platforms. This process can be completed within 20 hours; from obtaining CAD geometry and product data to running simulation and obtaining results.• Evaluated the latest ATS models for tests for certifications in seismic events and in transportation. Also conducted modal analysis to assist in test setup. Ensured confidence in passing tests worth $36k+.• Performed Monte-Carlo simulations to find required specifications for 25+ solenoids. Integrated a MATLAB script calculating solenoid performance based on its parameters with modeFrontier to create a Design of Experiments. The required parameters and tolerance were calculated through capability analysis in miniTab. Show less
