  At MacAulay Askernish LTD I was responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of HGV's, earth moving equipment and quarry plant such as static and mobile, crushers, screens and conveyors ensuring all equipment was serviced on time and at regular intervals as instructed by the OEM, ensuring any unplanned downtime was kept to a minimum to enable plant to operate at cost efficient levels, identifying faults, repairs, and servicing of all different kinds of plant and machinery utilizing my technical experience in Hydraulics, Electro Hydraulics and Hydraulic Schematics, Diesel engines, Transmission systems, Computer diagnostics on machines and some electrical systems.• Maintenance and repairs on a fleet of HGV's & trailers, including low loaders, bulk tippers, extending block trailers and cement tankers.• 6 weekly HGV & trailer inspections within FTA/RHA/VOSA regulations along with periodic testing• Maintenance of mobile tracked excavators, loading shovels & articulated dump trucks • Hydraulic/electro hydraulic fault finding and electrical repairs• Hydraulic hose inspections, repairing, replacing faulty hoses, using hose crimp tool to manufacture new hoses in house and for the public• Maintenance & repairs of static and mobile quarry crushing, screening and conveyor belt systems • Maintenance & repairs of concrete batching plant, concrete block machine & block strapping equipment• Maintenance & repairs to fleet of ready mix trucks/NUROCK nuvm9 volumetric mixer• General serving of all plant within the quarry site, workshop and on site covering breakdowns.• testing equipment once repairs have been carried out to ensure machinery is serviceable• Vehicle recovery • Carrying out repairs to equipment by welding• Overhauling of Diesel Power units and gearboxes.Assisting with training new personnel in the safe operation of repair & maintenance to equipment Show less
