      Activities and Societies: DEPARTMENT OF OPTOMETRY AND VISUAL SCIENCES Coordinated teaching and learning activities between faculty and students and led clinical skills training for clinical students. Consulted clients at the Optometry Eye Clinic and participated in screening over 8000 freshmen. Contributed to knowledge sharing and acquisition by supporting various research work among faculty.

      Activities and Societies: SRC PARLIAMENTARY COUNCIL Became a member of Parliament for the SRC Parliamentary Council in the year 2018.Subsequently became Speaker of the SRC Parliamentary Council for the 2020/21 academic year. Chaired the Parliamentary Council for the student body in KNUST. The SRC Parliamentary is the legislative body for Knust, where all the student leaders in campus convene to make decisions for the student council.

      The See to Earn project seeks to provide free eye care and sponsored spectacle corrections to rural farming communities who hither to, find it difficult to access such specialized healthcare services. The overall aim is to improve the livelihoods of these farmers and their dependants and to identify and possibly treat some preventable causes of visual impairment through VisionSpring’s timely interventions.

      OUTREACH LEAD

      As a budding public health practitioner, I lead outreach for the VisionSpring Livelihood in Focus project at St. Ignatius Eye Center, working to extend essential eye care to underserved communities. Ghana currently has unevenly distributed eye care in terms of facilities and accessibility, leaving most rural communities deprived of basic eye care. My role is to bridge the gap and improve livelihoods by purposively extending eyecare to these deprived areas.
