Day to day, tasks included food and drink prep, manning the registers, and providing strong customer service all in a fast-paced, sometimes stress inducing environment. During night shifts, I fully cleaned the store and was entrusted to tally registers at the end of the day, as well as lock up following close.

  Working as an intern for Congressman Joe Kennedy III, I had a variety of responsibilities within his Newton District Office. This position not only gave me experience in general office work, but also gave me great exposure to effective communication, listening, and problem solving through answering phones and providing constituent services. I learned a lot from the people I worked with that summer, who were generally much older and more experienced than I was, so it was a great environment to be able to watch how the professional staffers, as well as the other interns, operated in the office, and challenged me to find ways that I could offer my support and add value to the work being done, despite lacking the same experience as others at the time.   As a sales associate for Yankee Candle, I worked closely with customers to recommend products and draw attention to current sales in the store, which was particularly important as the store was an outlet location.   Working as a content creator for the Protect Our Breasts nonprofit organization, I contributed to the creative team by developing ideas and posts for social media campaigns that expressed the mission of the POB brand. Via media channels such as Instagram and TikTok, I effectively conveyed important scientific facts and safer alternative products to help young women avoid potential causes of breast cancer.   Merchandise Assistant

  In my role as a Merchandise Assistant at TJX, I work to support the MarMaxx Kids Division within Merchandising. I individually support two Buyers, writing and editing Purchase Orders for Kids toys and books, ensuring that the negotiated products, pricing, and shipping details are all accurately represented in orders. I foster strong relationships with 100+ vendors globally in order to communicate daily on Purchase Orders, and act as an effective liaison between the buyer and the vendor. I also pull and configure data driven reports on a weekly basis for buyers to be able to assess selling and buying needs. As a part of the Kids division, it also falls under my responsibility to collect Certificates of Compliance for products we are buying and communicate with our product safety team to ensure accurate safety testing on all products before they hit our stores. I work both independently and as a member of multiple of teams to drive success within the fast paced, week to week business model of the TJX Merchandising community. I have obtained strong organizational and interpersonal skills from this position, as well as new technical skills with a variety of internal systems. I have also enhanced my skillset in Microsoft systems, particularly excel. Additionally, I have become exceedingly capable of being flexible, supportive, and confident in the corporate environment.
