My team facilitated interviews and public meetings to scope the values of stakeholders in the community related to the dams located on the Upper Black River, near Onaway, MI. Next, we explored the social, economic, and environmental impacts relating to the future of the dam via literature review. We developed a document to summarize the impacts and interests for use as an informative packet in future decision-making. Show less

The capstone project for Civil and Environmental Engineers involved working with a team of 14 students to design a multi-use building and the water treatment system for the building. Given design requests and working within existing Michigan regulations, our team designed a building along with the water sourcing, treatment, distribution network, stormwater mitigation, and wastewater collection and treatment.
