Res 252 to establish September 2019 as National Democracy Month and create the opportunity for a month-long dialogue around democracy.-Conducted research and initiated conversations with members of Congress highlighting a growing ‘crisis’ in our American Democracy and the need to reacquaint Americans with profound truths about democracy. -Collaborated with a team to maximize advocacy efforts by keeping up communications with Representatives and Senators and urged their participation in effectively becoming teachers of democracy through their communications to their combined tens of millions of constituents and social media followers. -Helped team accomplish goal of achieving 50% Senate sponsorship and doubled progress of the previous year; moved 59 senators, representing 170 million people, to step forward to be cosponsors and advocates of this issue.-Improved social media presence through Twitter to drive outreach and increase total impressions by over 500%.
