    • AND B.V.

      Jan 1994 - Dec 1995

MobiNed GSM: In 1995 the Dutch government launched a competition for the second mobile provider. One of these consortia, named MobiNed, asked AND B.V. to investigate on how to link mobile phones to a location (maps).I investigated how to locate a GSM mobile on bases of the GSM signal only. This proved to be possible with an accuracy of ten meters. Mobiles with GPS built-in did not exist in 1995. Electronic Publishing: At AND B.V. I worked on several projects concerning electronic publishing. Amongst these projects where projects like the digitizing of books like "The Oxford Textbook of Medicine". The goal was to compress the data as much as possible without compromising the accessibility. I was responsible for the design.Briefpost2000 (letter 2000) project: I designed the process necessary for automatically recognizing handwritten and printed addresses on envelopes with the help of databases to complete incomplete addresses.Fingerprint recognition: I designed methodologies for distinguishing live from dead fingers in a non-invasive way. These interconnect tests have been executed successfully.3 - During this phase I have mapped all the processes involved in connecting and disconnecting customers from 'customer in shop' till the actual phone calls being made. • BBned N.V.

      Test Manager

Employer: ICW (only for the first 9 months)The first four and half years I was the link between BBned and KPMGConsulting UK (later became Atos Origin), BBned's system integrator, and worked most of the time in London being responsible for the quality of the releases and the user acceptance testing. I was also responsible for the change management and was the link between BBned and her system integrator.During the last part of these four and a half year period I did design and implement the IT Application Support department at BBned, became the manager of this new department, and kept on being the test manager at the same time. After a half year of being the manager of the IT support department, next to being a test manager, I reverted to being a full time test manager because BBned had in-sourced the IT development by then what resulted in more testing activities.Since halfway 2010 BBned changed the IT development methodology from waterfall to agile. I welcomed this change as being a good way forward.Since February 2011 I'm the agile scrum master responsible for facilitating and guarding the Agile process, composing the releases (sprints) and the timely delivery of the software. • Tele2 Nederland

      Jul 2011 - Apr 2016
      Scrum Master

When I started working for Tele2, Tele2 was just starting with the implementation of Agile. I played an important role in setting up the scrum teams and coaching these teams in the Agile Scrum methodology as I was already an experienced Scrum Master. At this stage I was the scrum master for multiple teams. The number of scrum teams increased till more then thirty scrum teams existed at Tele2. In order to make sure that the end-to-end functionality of the 4G/LTE Mobile delivery chain is of a high standard I initiated the 'Scrum of Scrums', a daily stand-up routine for all the Scrum Masters of the several teams working on the 4G/LTE Mobile delivery chain assuring that every team is aware, and involved, in the delivery of full end-to-end functionality. In order to streamline the testing of the 4G/LTE Mobile delivery chain a end-to-end quality team was installed that consisted out of dedicated testers, working full-time for this team, and testers borrowed, for part of there time, from the several development scrum teams that are part of the delivery of chain functionality. This increased to quality of the deliverables by a large extent.I was the scrum master for this team and played an important role in designing and setting up this team. Show less
