  Ensuring the safety of team members before, during, and after tests. Safety is approached using three pillars: Prevention, mitigation, investigation. During a design phase I (together with my colleague with the Safety Committee) check the team's designs for potential safety related issues and recommend changes thereby preventing hazards. In test phases I guide and ensure the safety directly, thereby mitigating risks. Finally, in the case of a safety-related mishap, I help investigate the causes. Advising and teaching the current propulsion department (and wider team as needed) on matters such as: management, structural engineering, internal ballistics, energetic materials, and rocket performance. Founded the AQUILO Safety Committee, managed and oversaw its activities, and grew the committee to be self-sustaining.
