      EU Projects Officer

As an EU Projects Officer at the Southern Regional Assembly, I specialise in preparing and managing European Union projects, with extensive experience in project and financial management, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination. I currently serve as the Project and Communication Manager for the Interreg Europe PROXIMITIES project, which works to enhance the liveability, accessibility, and sustainability of peripheral urban areas in the Southern Region of Ireland, and across 8 other EU member states, through improved policy frameworks.During my time at the Southern Regional Assembly, I have been the assigned Projects Officer on the Horizon Europe-funded ROBIN project. My work on ROBIN focused on empowering Europe’s regions to innovate their regional governance models, particularly by integrating policies that drive the growth of the bioeconomy. Additionally, I have led and supported several successful multi million euro bids for EU projects under the Interred Europe and the PEACE PLUS Programme, further supporting regional development in the Southern Region. I also play a key role in facilitating the ETC Network, a regional forum that fosters collaboration and knowledge-sharing among those involved in European Territorial Cooperation projects in the Southern Region. Through this network, I coordinate events, organise webinars, and build capacity by connecting Local Authorities, Higher Education Institutions, SMEs, and civil society organisations. Show less
