      Leading the highly strategic Hygiene Business unit (Babycare - Pampers) manufacturing plant in Karachi, Pakistan. The strategic nature of the plant is driven from the new technology platform which is being used by P&G globally for the first time to manufacture a completely new product which meets the target performance parameters and ensures consumer delight. The project was approached in a startup spirit with a target product created and validated on a new technology with breakthrough P&L financial model in record time during COVID times along with the factory setup and production startupThe operational complexity is also very high with multiple SKU’s being manufactured on the production lines along with a young energized organization. The lines are high speed with a sophisticated control system and an automated quality control system which uses image processing cameras (multiple technologies being used for the first time in P&G Global) along with many other instruments and sensors and a complex mechanical and process design requiring high level of capabilities and discipline in the organization.As Operations Director, the Line Operations, Technical Support (PM, Standard Development) and as well as Digital/Initiatives organizations form part of my team, and I am responsible for ensuring razor sharp focus on safety, quality and integrity, while delivering & improving operational excellence.
