Successes include garnering board support, strategic planning, establishing and implementing a strategic plan, developing million dollar proposal and employing fundraising counsel to recruit major donors, lobbying for insertion of language into legislation, working with elected officials on the Hill to obtain the two federal grants, being the grant administrator, launching an annual campaign, new website, establishing a committee system, writing and publishing position statements, and uniting the Cued Speech community to improve literacy on behalf of deaf and hard of hearing children.
