      Group Risk Intern

      Whilst working alongside the Group Risk department, I was involved in many day to day activities such as meeting with other departments to discuss what they believe to be the main risks within their department and how we can mitigate these risks. As well as this, I was tasked with updating the Key Reporting Indicators for the team for the previous business quarter. This experience allowed me to gain an insight into Wealth Management as a whole and specifically how St. James’s Place runs as a business. Show less

      Women in Banking Week

      I was 1 of 10 interns to be involved in Lloyds Banking group’s ‘Women in Banking Week’ within the Markets division. During this week, I was able to attend lots of technical talks ranging from ‘What is a Bank?’ to ‘FX sales and trading’. I also was involved in a trading game and a tour of the trading floor within Lloyds which gave me a greater insight into what it’s like to be a trader. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Lloyds and learned so much about the industry, as well as Lloyds Banking Group. Show less

      Youth Delegate at HRC/CEDAW

      Attended the Human Rights Council and CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination against all forms of Discrimination against Women) as a youth delegate. Whilst there, I was on a panel and gave a talk on ‘How we can use Agenda 2030 to make our planet prosper’. I also attended aid for trade in the WTO which allowed me an insight into trade capacities of developing countries.

Whilst there, I completed an online course on Microsoft SQL which then allowed me to run queries on the company database. I also helped with the day to day tasks for the team, including completing monthly deliverables. I especially enjoyed meeting with different people within St. James’s Place and getting a greater insight into the roles within Wealth Management.
