      I assisted my mentor Victor Aguilar. I would prepare his rooms or tables with the equipmentsa needed for specific patients for example, electrodes which are magnets placed onto the injured area of the patient and then connected to the Interferential current machine (IFC) a machine that then conducts electrical currents that passes through the injured area. I would also make heat/ ice packs for the patients and set the timer for a specific time. After the timer rings its my responsibility to take the hot/ ice packs and the electrodes off. I've also worked with other therapsits as I performed varies duties such as cleaning all rooms and tables after the patients leave. Another huge responsibility was working at the front desk; checking in patients, taking copayments, and lastly updating and modifiying the patient information. Victor Aguilar also had me teach the patients detailed exercises during the therapy session. Overall it was a great work experience and I loved all my coworkers. I used skilled I've in school such as applied communications. Beinga able to communicate with the patients and coworkers. I still go back to help out as community service. Show less
