      Students at Evanston have competed in a variety of events (Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum, and Policy debate, Student Congress, and Extemporaneous Speaking), at various levels of competition (TOC, NFL, CFL, and IHSA). Students coached have had success in all of the respective levels with qualifications to the TOC, multiple to NFL and CFL Nationals, and at IHSA where we had last year's runner-up and this year's State Champion (as well as a semi-finalist) in Lincoln-Douglas Debate for the state of Illinois.       Speaker at SUNY Oneonta Philosophy Conference - 2014 Presentation at the 19th Annual Undergraduate Conference at SUNY Oneonta. Paper was entitled "Transgression to Confession: Language, Limits, and Sexuality from “Preface to Transgression” to The History of Sexuality, Volume I: An Introduction". Discussant to another paper on Heidegger's "Being and Time". Voted "Spirit of Conference" award winner by committee and fellow presenters.

      DUOS Scholarship Recipient DePaul University 2012 DePaul Philosophy and Psychology departments have a joint research scholarship in which applicants that are selected work with a graduate student on a topic of both students' choosing with a faculty sponsor advising. The research goes throughout the year and culminates in a presentation and the undergraduate prepares a paper on the topic they have selected.
