  I worked in a listening and spoken language special day program for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. I taught both preschool and kindergarten. I worked towards meeting state standards with all students, as well as building language through language rich activities and environments. I lesson planned to make sure that every aspect of our day was packed with learning and created engaging lessons to keep little ones actively participating. I worked collaboratively with grade level partner teachers to create a school community, and connected with parents/guardians to make a connection to their home community as well. Show less
