  Deputy Program Manager

  I served as the Deputy Program Manager for the Biomedical Translational Research Information System (BTRIS) in support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH); a five year contract valued at $54M. In this role I managed a portfolio of four large projects per contract year and controlled three separately funded budgets from both client and corporation perspective employing EVM and other financial controls. I significantly grew the value of this contract by more than doubling the staff and scope which supported the Department of Clinical Research Informatics (DCRI). This was accomplished through collaboration and building solid relationships with leadership in various branches of the NIH.I improved many processes while in this role and managed contractual quality elements with success allowing the company to realize 100% of performance awards during my tenure. I also greatly decreased our days sales outstanding (DSO) allowing for faster revenue realization and implemented financial controls which corrected an inherited problem of operating at risk. During my time with Inovalon I also conducted a Six Sigma green belt certification project after identifying billing process deficiencies leading me to design an improved custom financial management system for the company's oldest product offering.
