  As an intern with the Eastern Europe Department, was given responsibility and discretion to work on a number of both long and short term tasks. This included writing a column in the weekly newsletter Select Briefings, which updated regional developments to our global correspondents. In addition, researched for the publication America's New Allies, concerned with the changing dynamics of transatlantic relations after the US incursion into Iraq. Outside of my department, partcipated in AILA (Abshire-Inamori Leadership Academy), a voluntary program offered to all CSIS interns at the time. Show less
