  The internship at Netcore gave me invaluable opportunity to explore the field of Internet of Things (IOT). I developed an automation suite for NetCORE's Machine to machine/Internet-of-Things (M2M/IOT) platform. I was amazed with the existing automations and learning mechanisms. I learned docker containerization in the scene which allows the packaging of application and its dependencies in a virtual container that can run on any Linux server. This introduced the benefits of OS level virtualization. Consequently, now the application deployment and scaling have become much easier in Netcore. I was able to deliver my above mentioned internship project (along with improving the deployment process) way before schedule, this was appreciated and my manager assigned me another challenge. Thereafter, I designed, implemented and deployed Push Notification Middleware for our company’s internal corp Android App. It is designed based on Publisher-Subscriber model using Message Queuing Telemetry Transport(MQTT) that enables the push notification on our corp Android App installed on employee’s devices helping them to receive notifications about various issues and updates. The publishing system is implemented in Python using REST APIs. The project is deployed and enables company's critical notifications to be delivered to respective employee. Both of my internship projects and my work ethics were recognized and I was offered a full time Software Engineer role in Mobility-BulkSMS department. Show less
