This paediatric unit has 120 beds and sees approximately 250 patients in paediatric emergency everyday.• I worked as a middle-grade paediatrician in paediatric emergency, ran out-patient clinics with consultants, and covered areas of general paediatrics, paediatric nephrology, paediatric haematology & oncology, infectious diseases, PICU, NICU & neonatal nursery. I also did rotations in preventive paediatrics, child psychiatry and dermatology.• As part of my usual clinical duties, I ran paediatric emergency & out-patient services, attended & led paediatric & neonatal resuscitations, participated & led in-patient ward rounds, and ran community services including national vaccination program.• I had experience of working and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centred care.• As part of my structured training program, in addition to my clinical duties, I attended various courses, took part in workshops and led RCT in our local unit.• I actively participated in mortality & morbidity (M&M) conferences, clinicopathological conferences, and journal club meetings.• During COVID-19 pandemic, I also worked in telemedicine service for paediatrics, which was started by our university for our patients.• I was actively involved in teaching of house officers & medical students, and arranging their assignments & assessments.
