  • Developed a regression and classification pipeline to extract features from raw biological data for inferring patterns from the images of leaves and fruits of Azadirachta Indica (Neem) tree.• Predicted the content of a commercially important plant metabolite called Azadirachtin, using a deep learning- based object detector (YOLOv5) and custom trained Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs).• Evaluated the performance of over 5 SOTA CNNs and fine-tuned their weights by doing Hyperparameter Evolution using Genetic Algorithms.• Increased the F1 score of the classification approach using YOLOv5 to 80% with a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 75% to classify the images into two classes of High and Low metabolites. Integrated radial inconclusive zones and cycle threshold (Ct) value calculations to enhance reliability in genomic optical fluorescence analysis from PCR runs.• Developed a Python-based diagnostic tool for the Genomadix Cube, enabling data analysis, retrieval, optical, and thermal diagnostics. The tool executes remote commands on the Cube over Linux via HTTP, SSH, and SFTP protocols.• Developed application-level firmware for the Genomadix Cube PCR Thermocycler using Python, reducing system downtime by 15% through improved optical and thermal performance using microcontrollers like MSP430 and Single-Board Computers (SBCs) including Raspberry Pi, and BeagleBoard.• Designed control theory-based algorithms, including PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) techniques to optimize current control for the Genomadix Cube, resulting in a 10% increase in fit for the required thermal profile.• Deployed a custom Linux file system on the Genomadix Cube using Yocto, improving device functionality and performance, and ensuring smooth hardware integration.• Directed and maintained the Software Requirement and Design Specifications (SRS & SDS) of products,conducted Failure Analysis (FMEA), Verification and Validation (V&V), and wrote Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), resulting in a marked reduction of post-release issues for clientele.
