  Event Coordinator

  I assisted as a event coordinator for Kiwanis’ 8th annual bridging the gap gala. In this role I prepared budget sheets and created the script and flow of the event with a team of marketing individuals. I also helped create the website for the bidding platform for all the silent auction items and coordinated the preparation for the Facebook live event. On the day of the gala I set up the Facebook live studio and helped the film crew with any help they needed. This gala was a success and we exceeded our fundraising goal of over $20,000. Show less

  Reporting directly to the Director of Project Development and responsible for coordinating and closing the acquisition/purchase of assets, coordinating predevelopment activities, managing the relationships with lenders and investors, orchestrating financial closings, and assisting with the coordination process during the construction phase. Managing 7 projects that are all in different phases of development while maintaining corporate memory of business points and financial structuring of each transaction. Establish and periodically update proformas (including predevelopment budget, timelines (including major milestones). Coordinate preparation of loan packages for acquisition, development, construction and permanent financing. Coordinate application packages to CTCAC, CDLAC and all other public agencies for funding allocations. Attend selected meetings with Business Development Directors in order to become acquainted with key participants in transactions. Attend follow-up meetings with appropriate city staff, financial partners and lenders. Prepare original budgets and cash flows for all phases of projects and coordinate with the Construction and Accounting departments on any necessary future revisions to those budgets and cashflows. Monitor ongoing project budgets to ensure compliance. Ensure that purchase contracts and escrow instructions go through proper internal review. Monitor status of project appraisals and reports, loan documents, etc. Schedule conference calls as needed among the parties. Review loan documents, regulatory agreements, and agreements with governmental partners to assure they conform to business points. Assure that scheduled closings are organized and complete. Aside from helping the project managers, I also am collaborating with individuals in many departments like Legal, Construction, Business Development, Asset Management, and Property Management. I also am in contact with our lenders and architects when needed. Ultimately I help the Project Managers in any way they need me, for example, preparing Proformas, conducting research around the construction sites and organizing documents. Show less

  Serve as the front line to welcome visitors to our office and guide them around campus. Advise students during 1:1 and group consultations and provide reviews of resumes, cover letters, and other application or networking documents. Develop and facilitate outreach efforts to increase student engagement with our office and to encourage participation in sponsored opportunities, programs, services, and events. Advertise and promote resources, services, and events through the development and distribution of marketing materials.
