  • As a Junior Electrical Engineer i was in charge with maintaining, supervising, ordering spare parts for the refrigeration containers on board. • Also i used the time on board to learn and get familiarized with Kongsberg marine automation and alarm systems, worked closely with the Senior Electrical Engineer on maintaining the systems up to the standards required by classification society, flag state and also company requirements.• Was part of a team of three which installed fire detection system Consilium onboard one of the vessel in the fleet, cable laying, sensor installing and final inspection.• Got familiarized with ABB electric motors and controls, various pumps and other aggregates on board.• Worked on the biggest M/E at the period, the MAN B&W 12K98mc.   As ETO on board containers vessels, I was the Senior Electrician Engineer having the role of ensuring electrical power production and electrical powered systems are within parameters.• I was Team Leader for team up to 3 in different jobs performed• I was in charge of maintenance to the Auxiliary engine’s alternators, Main Distribution Board and Power Management System• I was doing maintenance, tests and regular inspections up to 440V systems• I was in charge of Main Engine’s automatic control maintenance for Electronic Engine including software and hardware adjustments for electronic controllers and all sensors related to those.• I also have the key responsibility to locate equipment or system faults• I worked closely with Chief Engineers in adjusting and fine tuning engines performance for maximum performanceAs ETO on board PCTC (pure car and truck carrier) i was in charge of maintaining the whole lighting system as per each port requirements.• I also worked on maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting the MacGregor ramps and other elector-hydraulic watertight/gas tight door system.• Was in charge of maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting the newest (at the time) Wartsila RT Flex electronic main engine, making sure engine is running in all normal parameters, sensors and other auxiliary equipment is running as per manufacturers requirements. Performing regular maintenance on MV distribution switchboards, protection relays and relative machinery (thrusters, chillers, transformers, propulsion motors, alternators) from 6.6kV to 11kV networks.In charge of preparing the ship for dry docking, as well during dry dock following up on major dry dock projects, including GE propulsion control system upgrade, UPS replacement, switchboard circuit breakers upgrade & protection modules adjusting and commissioning.
