      District Collector's Internship Programme (DCIP) is a unique programme by District Administration, Kozhikode to involve enterprising youngsters in participatory governance. Practically, the idea is to faced by the community through an internship with the government system. The programme also aims projects that can be challenging and will require them to use their expertise and knowledge with an understanding of various policy issues and will find themselves developing the ability to plan make young people active participants in the process of tackling developmental challenges to give interns a direct exposure to the functioning of the Public System. The interns will be involved in contextually. The interns, through their association with the District Administration, will thus be armed solutions and implement them. In return, what awaits the interns is the promise of holistic development, a transformation from merely existing to living with purpose.The assignments which I have undertaken as part ofthe program give me a lot of insight on policyformation and implementation at different levelsand it bridges the gap between theory and practice...I was entrusted with projects such as MGNREGS (DHANUSH SAMRIDHI). This may include conducting driver evaluations and providing feedback or additional training as needed.5- Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that all vehicles comply with legal and regulatory requirements, such as vehicle registration, insurance, emissions standards, safety measures and driver licensing.6- Insurance Management: Managing vehicle insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage for the fleet while minimizing costs This may involve negotiating insurance rates and handling claims.7- Telematics and Fleet Tracking: Implementing and managing telematics systems to track vehicle locations, monitor driver behavior, and optimize routes for efficiency and safety8- Budgeting and Cost Control: Developing and managing budgets for fleet operations, including vehicle purchases, maintenance, fuel, insurance, and other expenses.
