  District Collector's Internship Programme (DCIP) is a unique programme by District Administration, Kozhikode to involve enterprising youngsters in participatory governance. Practically, the idea is to faced by the community through an internship with the government system. The programme also aims projects that can be challenging and will require them to use their expertise and knowledge with an understanding of various policy issues and will find themselves developing the ability to plan make young people active participants in the process of tackling developmental challenges to give interns a direct exposure to the functioning of the Public System. The interns will be involved in contextually. The interns, through their association with the District Administration, will thus be armed solutions and implement them. In return, what awaits the interns is the promise of holistic development, a transformation from merely existing to living with purpose.The assignments which I have undertaken as part ofthe program give me a lot of insight on policyformation and implementation at different levelsand it bridges the gap between theory and practice...I was entrusted with projects such as MGNREGS (DHANUSH SAMRIDHI).
