      As a Deputy Manager of a flagship Ladbrokes store in the city centre of Birmingham I performed managerial duties on a regular basis. In this exciting and entertaining role, I enhanced my interpersonal skills and had the opportunity to engage with a cross-section of the general public on a daily basis.       Project Coordinator

      As a Project Coordinator for one of the UK’s largest telecommunications and utilities contractors, I was responsible for managing and coordinating workflow distribution for a team of field engineers. As the first point of contact for the onsite engineers’ I was frequently called upon to handle problems that arose in the field from a remote location. In this role I have demonstrated strong leadership skills, the ability to pre-empt problems by effective monitoring, and the ability to tackle complex problems with practical and immediate solutions. My role included liaising directly with the customer and delivering daily and weekly reports to demonstrate the current project status. I was responsible for distributing information to Project Managers so they could manage their teams in the correct way.       During my time with Plowman Craven I was hired as a Project Administrator in the Areas measuring team. I was responsible for preparing project documentation, and compiling and distributing various reports to assist in the smooth running of projects. I would also regularly liaise with clients and ensure that we were meeting the expected standards and assist with their enquiries. I was later given the additional responsibility of organising and scheduling the use of our internal and external surveyors on projects across the whole team. This included speaking directly with third party suppliers to ascertain their availability, negotiate fees, confirm timescales and collect/assess completed surveys. I acted as a resource manager within the Areas team and aligned resource to all projects that we worked on.
