  PDVSA is the biggest oil company of Venezuela which is responsible for processing the oil extracted from different areas of production. The Petromonagas improvement division is responsible for increasing oil quality through different chemical processes controlled by a distributed control system and a platform of PLCs to control certain specific units. The plant is protected by an emergency shutdown system.Job Responsibilities:• Guarantee the operations of the plant through the maintenance of the distributed control system DCS (Foxboro), Emergency Shutdown System ESD (Triconex) and PLC network (Allen Bradley).• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance routines to the automation platform.• Support analyzes and assessments of the root causes which produce disturbances in the processes.• Support technical clarifications to other departments during the preparation and revision of documentation associated to projects• Perform updates to databases systems, backups, diagnostics, routine maintenance, among others.• Conduct analysis, diagnostics and assessments random failures, point recurring equipment and modules for the Control platform.• Keep the Control platform under PDVSA rules and standards.• Develop and maintain procedures for operation and maintenance of equipment of the Petromonagas Control platform.• Analysis of control routines for fault detection.• Configuration of process control strategies, control loop tuning and modification of process operations displays.• Provide technical support in startups and shutdowns on boilers, furnaces, air instruments compressor, wet gas compressor and other process units.• Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.• Provide 24/7 "on site"​ and "on call" technical supportMajor projects involved:• Active participation plant shutdown projects 2012-2013:o Upgrade Distributed Control System Phase II.o Update of the PLC platform from SLC 500 to Controllogix Show less
