    • Scientific association of aerospace department (saad)

      Oct 2009 - Sept 2010
Head of industrial relations committee (irc)

The Scientific Association of Aerospace Department (SAAD) (active members > 40) at the Amirkabir University of Technology is an association is run by students and it has different sections. One of these sections is the Industrial Relations Committee that tries to link the university and student to private companies and industry. I was responsible for inviting CEOs and field-related experts for technical meetings and the workload was on average about 6-8 hours per week.

    • Gilan combined cycle power plant

      May 2011 - Sept 2011
      Intern

During my internship in the Gilan combined power plant, I got associated with how the plant itself runs on a daily basis and I experienced to observe almost all parts of a huge power plant including the steam and gas turbines, control and monitoring systems and condensation systems. But after a while, I started to get to know to simulate of thermodynamic processes and cycles and compute thermodynamic properties using softwares such as Simulink, GasTurb, EES, CATT. I learned the efficacy of team-work and I tried to be a gregarious and easily adaptable person. In addition, the professional behavior in workplace taught me to plan well, work systematically and keep my reports up-to-date. Show less

    • Iranian combustion institute (ici)

      May 2013 - Sept 2015
      Supervisor of student branch

The Iranian Combustion Institute (ICI) is a non-profit, scientific and educational organization, founded in 2001, which serves the purpose to promote and disseminate combustion research. This institute has more than 350 active members in Iran. The supervisor of the student branch has general supervision of its affairs under the direction of the Institute Executive Committee, and guidance of the faculty advisor. The supervisor of student branch should preside at all regular and special meetings of the branch; be familiar with and observe the customary rules of order; and be acquainted with the proper procedure for the conduct of a professional session.I was responsible for coordination of lectures and seminars (multiple sessions each year), yearly gathering meetings and Organization of yearly festival of "Flame Photograph". • Sharif university of technology

      Sept 2013 - Jun 2015

Summary:-- Simulated the breakup of a continuous liquid jet using SPH method (see my publications).-- Proposed and published a new formulation for CFD simulations of atmospheric plume dispersion.-- Developed the open-source code SPHysics for modeling the multiphase flows using SPH method.-- Simulated laminar and turbulent flows for turbomachinery systems using CFD commercial softwares.I did research about multiphase flows as the assistant of prof. Morad. I concentrated on Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) as a meshless method to simulate different multiphase flows numerically. My master thesis was accomplished in the Multiphase Flows Lab under the title "Numerical Modeling of Liquid Jet Breakup Using SPH Method". Show less

Summary:-- Focused on data inversion, mathematical modeling, and numerical simulations for solar imagingusing regression methods, FEM, and Monte Carlo simulations.-- Developed clean, readable and maintainable codes (MATLAB and Python) with integration testsfor inverse problems.-- Processed, analyzed and interpreted the massive seismic data of SDO/HMI and SOHO/MDI (NASA/ESA missions) space data sets.-- Obtained an in-depth knowledge of data analysis tools, e.g., FFT, data cross-correlation andcorrelation, noise models, signal processing in time and frequency domains. The Computational Helioseismology Lab in the Solar and Stellar Interiors department of the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research focuses on Local helioseismology. Local helioseismology faces a number of difficult challenges. How can we best image heterogeneities and flows in the solar interior? What are the best choices of observables as helioseismic input data? How to optimize these input data to increase signal-to-noise ratios? In this project, I use finite element method (FEM) to solve the forward problem of local helioseismology in the frequency domain. The aim is to address fundamental questions in time-distance helioseismology, such as the choice of travel-time measurements, the sensitivity of inversions to known systematic errors, and the ability of helioseismology to probe complex structures. Furthermore, I am also interested in performing inversions for local helioseismology for obtaining three-dimensional maps of various physical quantities in the solar interior, in particular flows. I am utilizing various methods such as Regularized least squares (RLS) and the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). The methods are applied to the observations of solar oscillations by the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) (NASA mission) and the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) (ESA/NASA mission) that provide high-resolution images of solar disk.
