She also served as Assistant Attorney General and Solicitor General for the State of North Dakota and as a Supreme Court Fellow. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Laurie Loveland was an advocate for women's rights, for adult literacy, and a friend and champion of children. She influenced co-workers, friends and family to make the world a better place. One of a truckdriver's seven children, Laurie was an academic star at Minot High School, NDSU and Yale Law School, but she remembered and honored her modest beginnings. This $5000 scholarship proposes to provide funding for North Dakota women who want to make a difference in the world as she did. Show less
