      Barista

Open 8 AM – 3 PM, the Catalyst served a locally sourced breakfast and lunch menu, operating out of a shop front on Higgins Avenue. The Catalyst operated without a host or bussers, so servers were expected to perform both duties while also completing the normal serving tasks. My work here was also interrupted by the Covid-19 shut down.

      May 2019 - Aug 2019
      Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow

Worked with Professor Armond Duwell to conduct research into the intersection between philosophy and neuroscience in order to develop a curriculum for a pilot course in neuro-ethics. We conducted research into the validity of claims made by contemporary philosophers based upon the findings of neuroscientific inquiries as well as examined the extent to which neuroscience can inform our understanding of ethical practices. We decided to focus on the topics of environmentalism and technology, as these are most pertinent to the university as well as to my own education. Show less

Bar Manager for the Pangea Restaurant Group

Starting in January of 2024, I began working for the Pangea Restaurant Group directly under the Director of Operations Justin Ferguson. Initially I spent some time getting acquainted with the company and its systems in the established flagship restaurant Pangea as well as the speakeasy Stave and Hoop. From that point I stepped immediately into a more specific role focused on expansion and was moved onto the team working on opening Elote, PRG’s Mexican concept in the Southgate Mall. Elote was flipped and opened in 90 days, has the most extensive agave spirits selection available in Montana, is based around authentic Oaxacan cuisine, and is currently doing over 100k in sales a week. I spent the beginning of the project focused on the development of the bar program as well as the general systems of the restaurant, working closely alongside the director of operations in everything from hiring to expediting on the line. After spending over two months at Elote, I was moved back downtown to work on relaunching the concept of Stave and Hoop. In thirty seven days I was able to hire an entirely new team including a general manager, develop a 31 item cocktail program, prep for opening, and launch a brand new marketing campaign. However, due to complications that I would be more than happy to discuss upon request, I along with the staff I hired were unable to move past the way in which the ownership team treated us, the existing staff at the flagship concept, and our community during the first week of the relaunch. As such, I resigned, while maintaining a positive relationship with the director of operations. Show less
