      Design mounting components designed to securely fasten components of the new spectrograph being built to be used on CWU's new research telescope. I was selected by CWU Physics and Astronomy faculty to assist in the launch of a high altitude balloon into the 2017 solar eclipse as part of the NASA Eclipse Balloon Project. This included conducting my own experiment with a team on test flights of the balloon during Spring quarter 2017. The project revealed many challenges but overall, it was a success.

      Liaison engineer 787 final assembly

      I completed a mechanical engineering internship with The Boeing Company where I worked in a Liaison Engineer position on the 787 Final Assembly team in the factory in Everett. I worked noncomformance issues that arose during assembly of the aircraft and was training toward becoming Material Review Board certified. Also during my time at The Boeing Company, I took a hands-on course on composite materials where I manufactured my own carbon fiber part and put the part through stress testing.
