      From December 2012 - June 2014 I was the Hospital Liaison Practice Leader between CYF and MidCentral DHB. Key tasks of this role were assisting health clinicians regarding child protection matters - providing advice, information and guidance; developing Multi-Agency Safety Plans in conjunction with the Police and the DHB; training DHB staff in child protection matters and co-facilitating family violence training with the DHB.In 2013 I completed the MSD Emerging Leaders Programme.       During this period I was involved in the very successful development and implementation of the Horowhenua/Otaki Children's Team. I also led the Site through a prototype project in relation to the Simplification of Payments to Foster Carers.       Currently Regional Manager of two regions: - Central North Island Youth Justice (which includes Bay of Plenty, Tairawhiti, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu, Horowhenua, Wairarapa).- Taranaki / Manawatu Services for Children and Families (which includes Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu and Horowhenua).The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership and governance to the region and build and lead a high performing regional team to manage the delivery of high-quality intensive intervention, assessment and investigation, youth justice services, community remand care, caregiver support and existing transition services for clients.I am responsible for managing and monitoring the region's financial, staffing and asset resources to maximise performance. I am also responsible for implementing and embedding nationally agreed protocols, processes and systems to enable full and effective delivery of services across the region.I am also responsible for relationship management internally across the organisation, as well as externally with other public sector agencies and community partners across the two regions.
