Peabody College enjoyed a strategic partnership in Abu Dhabi with the ADEC from 2014¬–2017. This partnership resulted in the first band A school inspection results since the establishment of the ADEC. In addition, Peabody college achieved the highest individual leader and overall leadership performance in the organization’s history.In 2017 the Government of Abu Dhabi dissolved the ADEC and split operations between two government entities. The ADEK, a new organization, now focuses on license and private school regulation, while the MoE operates at a federal level. During my time in this position, I went on multiple secondments to ensure cross-functionality between universities and government entities on both emirate-wide and national-level initiatives. Jun 2017 - Aug 2019Head of Leader & Leadership Development - Vanderbilt University SecondmentsDuring a secondment to the professional development sector for school operations, I was responsible for the overall leadership and leadership development across public school systems.Key responsibilities and achievements are as follows:• Professional Development for 265 schools across all three regions of Abu Dhabi.• 1,500 school leaders, approximately 16,000 teachers. • Operated using a dual language system (Arabic & English).• Professional standard development for nineteen school-based roles. • Monitoring and evaluation of contractors that supplied professional development.• In 2017, Vanderbilt Leadership Development Program won a Khalifa Award for Excellence.Professional Standards and Licensing and Evaluation Divisions 2017–2019During this period, I was also seconded to the division managing the quality of teaching and learning through implementing national standards throughout 265 public schools with 20,000 staff members. As the Head of Licensing, I handled the pilot scheme and the subsequent launch of the teacher licensing scheme, which impacted around 70,000 educators within the UAE. In addition, the division handled the design and development of “A’DAE” a bespoke evidenced-based comprehensive appraisal system utilized by over 15,000 teachers. The A’DAE system enabled the implementation of national standards for teachers and educational leaders within the UAE. I collaborated cross-functionally and globally with innovators in education and national committees. Together, we promoted education reform, developed professional education licensing criteria and set up programs to achieve national standards aims.Ministry of Education | United Arab Emirates 2018–2019Responsible for the National Technical Steering Committee, which consisted of representatives from UAE Colleges of Education.
