  At Western Paper Distributors I was accountable for overseeing the HR department while working directly with the CFO. I not only successfully maintained compliance with ADA, FMLA, and workers compensation but also with the administration of benefits, 401k, payroll, and records maintenance. I also took the lead on several large projects for improvement within the company such as the implementation of new payroll software, enhancing the training and orientation of new and current employees, and improving employee benefits. During my time there, we acquired a new business which gained us another location that allowed us to service more customers we were previously unable to reach. Being involved in an acquisition project of that scale was an exciting project to work on and wonderful learning experience. Show less

StaffScapes cost-effectively takes the responsibilities of an organization's HR policies and alleviates administrative burdens for businesses. As the Director of Human Resources, I am an adviser for our clients on all HR-related matters. I help clients set up their own internal HR policies and practices through handbooks, develop job descriptions, educate them on new laws, and provide assistance with a variety of sticky situations they may come across. I help mitigate risk through safety training as well as administer their workers compensation plan. I am also able to provide an array of trainings, whether for sexual harassment, ADA, or helping new managers get up to speed. I also focus heavily on our internal team to help them grow and develop professionally.
