  I am a research assistant in Dr. Marisa Toup's psychoneuroimmunology lab in the department of psychiatry. Current research is focused on understanding the effects of inflammatory disorders on mood and function. I run study visits and assist in MRI scans as a level 1 assistant. Additionally, I have been trained to isolate peripheral blood cells in the presence of an immune system stimulator.

In this role, I conduct critical research and fact check content produced by the US Veteran’s Affairs Department. Additionally, I write weekly reports on my priority and individual projects progress and submit them directly to my Department Head and Executive Leadership Team. As of February 2021, I was promoted to Research Department Officer. In this role, I serve as a contact point between interns and department leadership.
