The company is a German chemical company and the largest chemical producer in the world.Part of a team responsible for reliability and optimization of the mud dehydration process in the wastewater treatment plant using filters press. Accomplished the mass balance around the dehydration unit and evaluation of the installed pieces of equipment. Performed field tests to determine the filtration duration as a function of the mud concentration. Installed an intermediate rotary filter with flocculent injection to increase the mud concentration.       Advisory Engineering company that is one of the largest companies in the Project and Management sector, with over 20 years of market experience in Brazil. Responsible for the consistent analysis of basic design documents related to different units for the refining industry, as well as managing the elaboration of detailed process documents.Key Achievements:o Successfully managed to redesign flare network using a software instead of spreadsheets. The higher accuracy of the software permitted a substantial reduction of some piping sizes to 4 different plants and saving approximately 10% of capital invested in the flare network;o Redesigned the pumps detailed calculation to check conceptual design before setting purchase orders. The correction avoided the fine of 25 % from the pump supplier and 3 weeks delay to deliver the pumps;o Rapidly managed the Nitrogen volume calculation for inertization of 4 units before commissioning 1 week ahead of deadline which allowed anticipating the nitrogen order and initiating the commissioning and start-up of the units earlier.Website: http://www.projectus.com.br/en/#home Show less

Member of the group responsible for evaluation of MOC and follow-up of the approved implementations. Application engineering to support Commercial Team during proposal phase and elaborate all sort of process and safety project documentation including firefighting system, passive protection, HAZOP, LOPA, Bowtie, etc. Critical and emergency scenarios evaluation to design Flare and atmospheric vent network, relief and blowdown valve design, support to the Construction Team during the execution. Technical support to Supply Team during the acquisition. Managing the engineering team to achieve high level of integrity, safety and solid projects in addition to motivate the team to promote the integration among them and other departments.Key Achievements:o Led detailed process and safety studies (PSD and ESD scenarios, instrumentation control loops, fire and blowdown scenarios, HAZOP, etc.) in order to replace a flare unit by an integral knockout drum with vent stack in a gas compressor station. Reduction around USD$ 1.0 million in the total cost of the project;o Eliminated a 1,500 HP MRU by adding a new module of gas/gas exchanger, saving USD$ 2 million for the proposal;o Staggered blowdown valves based on MOC, SIS and process simulation to reuse the existing flare, avoiding acquiring a new unit of USD$ 910,000.00;o Managed risk analysis of a gas vent stack in a malfunctioning scenario to orient the evacuation plan based on HAZOP, LOPA and SIS evaluation to warranty the personnel, environment and assets' integrity.
