      NACOSH is established by Section 7(a) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (the OSH Act) to advise, consult with, and make recommendations to the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Health and Human Services on matters relating to the administration of the OSH Act. The OSH Act specifies the interests that the 12 NACOSH members represent (public, management, labor, safety and health professions). Generally, terms are for two years and members may be reappointed. NACOSH meets at least twice a year. Members do not receive compensation for serving on NACOSH. In 2021 I was appointed to the Chair of the Committee. Show less
