Athena Leadership Award 2022 Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches Aug 2022 The ATHENA Leadership Award celebrates exemplary leadership and is reflective of a quote by Plato: What is honored in a country will be cultivated there. Presented to leaders across professional sectors, the ATHENA Leadership Award's rich history, international scope and focus on mentorship distinguish it as one of the most prestigious leadership awards one can receive.

NIH SBIR Phase 1 Grant: Chiral DELs National Institute of Health Apr 2022 There is great interest in the construction of screening collections with more natural product-like characteristics, especially the presence of multiple chiral sp3 centers. Deluge Biotechnolgies will develop a method that will allow us to use multiple asymmetric aldol reactions to construct DNA-encoded libraries (DELs) of natural product-like macrocycles with multiple chiral centers.

NIH SBIR Phase 2 Grant: Macrocycle DELs National Institute of Health Sep 2021 There is a critical need for the development of libraries of novel, cell permeable compounds capable of engaging Protein-Protein Interactive surfaces. In Phase I, Deluge Biotechnologies successfully demonstrated the feasibility of generating and screening large DNA-encoded libraries of non-peptidic macrocycles, which have the appropriate characteristics to address this need. In this Phase II project, we will expand the chemical diversity of these libraries, test them against several difficult targets, and establish methods to evolve primary screening hits derived from the libraries into high-quality drug leads.
