Position included the development and management of projects through design, manufacture, installation and commissioning phases, incorporating full costing and commercial justification. Co-ordination of plant maintenance including annual shutdown works.Projects included:A $1 million redevelopment program, including new processing and packaging equipment.Refurbishment of existing factory to zone 1 (intrinsically safe) standard.Installation of new cartridge filling machine as well as the relocation of existing equipment and installation of additional equipment.Installation of two finished goods pallet conveyors.Installation of major product mixing facility as well as a new tri-shaft mixer, process and safety control systems.Installation of a powder delivery system to existing mixers including installation of load cells.High pressure (10,000 psi) water washing system for mixing vessels.Key achievementsCompleted a project for the manufacture of a high-strength polyurethane sealant/adhesive used in the automotive industry. The project included the rebuild of a heritage-listed seawater wading pool incorporating civil work, electrical, a new filtration plant, landscaping, buildings and amenities.Projects at Toyota Motor Company:Rebuild of in-ground conveyor system, $650,000. Successfully completed over shutdown period on time and budget with a 26% margin.Replacement of overhead conveyor system,contract value $1.75 million - successfully completed over a shutdown period of 16 days, 24 hour per day work schedule, with a net margin of 23% on the project.Installation of additional conveyor system including civil, mechanical and electrical works - $1.55 million, successfully executed over three months, on time with a 21% net margin on the project.Replacement of existing overhead conveyor carriers being manufactured in China to Australian design and specifications. Budget $1.8 million.Manufacture of specifically designed scissor lift and platform for the aluminium industry value $640,000.Manufacture of seven firing frames for the aluminium industry “under license” to an overseas principal.
