      www.jbws.orgFounded in 1976, JBWS is the only agency of its kind in Morris County whose mission is the prevention of domestic violence through the protection and empowerment of the victim, the rehabilitation of family members, the advocacy for social changes to prevent family violence and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences. Domestic violence includes physical, emotional, financial, verbal or sexual abuse, as well as threats of the above.JBWS is committed to serve every identified victim of domestic violence in Morris County, NJ with a broad array of high quality services. We will intentionally expand our ability to help an even greater set of victims by sharing our knowledge with other domestic violence agencies and community groups. Whenever possible, JBWS will initiate and participate in countywide collaborations that advance our overarching mission, the prevention of domestic violence. This includes offering counseling to batterers and educational programs.Over the years, JBWS has received both local and national attention for its vital service. Business leaders, as well, have recognized JBWS as a premier agency that addresses the issue of domestic violence.JBWS services include a 24-hour help line, safe home, transitional living, victim counseling, children's services, life skills education, vocational counseling, batterers' intervention, legal advocacy, dating abuse prevention, primary prevention, community education and professional training.
