    • Gerdau

      Jun 2006 - Jul 2007
Intern of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs

It was my first experience in the corporate world, and, from the beginning it strike me the way people deal with one another in this type of environment, within the years I got use to, but some classic characteristics of big corporations have represented a big effort for me. As a marketing intern I had direct contact with consulting firms and advertising agencies, and I was able to visualize environments and work methods that enriched my experience. My main learning was the methodology and practice of building and applying a Balanced Score Card in a large company. Show less

    • Autonomous

      Jan 2008 - Feb 2010
      Business Consultant

For the remainder of my undergraduate degree in business administration I have provided marketing consulting services on an autonomous basis, doing specific projects, part of consulting firms projects and also signing partnerships for longer periods with some companies. This form of work allowed me to travel, a big driver for me. It included 1 year of graduation in the United States, as well as other trips through Brazil conducting research in the field. I have developed my entrepreneurial vein and learn to deal very well with challenges and to adapt to different types of companies and models. I articulate well with diverse types of public, with diverse educational levels. I also discovered that, although not always more effective, teamwork is always more enjoyable and rewarding. May 2010 - Aug 2011
      Mass Market Trainee

Once I graduate, I was selected as a trainee in the marketing area of a large multinational in Central America, acting as product manager for drugs intended for a mass audience. In this intense experience the learnings were numerous, as well as my development as a marketing professional. In each period I, together with my director, set up the business plan for each brand under my responsibility, and over the period I performed each of the actions, be they promotional actions, launches or to incentive doctors and sales teams. At the same time I monitored the success of these actions, adjusting the plans as necessary. I was responsible for 2 major launches of great success and repercussion, and for actions with a direct impact on the sales of ordinary drugs. Working closely with the sales team, presenting analysis and results that helped us together to take action. Show less

    • Nielsen

      Mar 2012 - Feb 2016
      Sr. Analytic Consultant

I decided to go back to Brazil and look for a position at a company with a nice corporate environment and that the object of my job was something that had a chance to get back to society somehow. I found this at Nielsen, where I worked for 4 years in the field of analytical consulting. I learned a lot about customer service, complex analysis of large volumes of data (specialized in market segmentation, price elasticity, assortment optimization, marketing ROI, and other multiple data analysis), big data, and improved my consulting, project management and team leading skills. I especially learned and developed the ability to take the data to an absolutely actionable recommendation, considering the operational structure of each client. I attended large multinationals of fast moving consumer goods categories, especially in the area of hygiene and beauty. Some examples would be Mondelez, Nestle, Heineken, Ambev, 3 Corações, Unilever and I was exclusively servicing the P&G regional account for more than 2 years, participating in the annual strategic planning at the headquarters. The analyzes under my responsibility were generating outcomes and improving business, being constantly repurchased and re-presented at diverse client audience, often awarding awards to my in-company contacts, and also within Nielsen as a regional and global reference, aggregating insights to meta analyzes and benchmarks. • Sabbatical Period

      Feb 2016 - Feb 2018
Knowing what else is out there

This might be the most important move of my career. Even if I have already traveled and experienced a great deal, this is the only period in which I allow myself to do so without focusing on a linear and consistent career path. The greatest motivation for such a broad search is the reflection on a great discomfort with the object of my work so far. I found peace for a while in consultancy, believing that reading the market is not shaping it, thus exempting me from the responsibility of any impact of all products that I ended up indirectly expanding sales and consumption. The list of products that I worked with and are absolutely harmful to either people or the world (usually both) got simply too big. The weight of this just becomes unsustainable to me and to my set of beliefs and values. In addition, it was aggravating to note the clear tendency of the population to seek, with an intensity never before observed, healthier and more sustainable alternatives to products, and observe the market was not really going to react on it. Among several other factors, I decided that my quest needed to seek greater horizons than those I have been exploiting so far.In this period, I have learned that change needs to be individual, really one by one, and that we need to occupy space in the change we want to see, every one counts. So this period is about this very productive quest where I learned a set of different skills ranging from strategic planning in horizontal organizations such as dragon dreaming, cooperative and networked work, social media, entrepreneurship, solidarity economy, to sustainable growing, farming, building, passing by Ayurveda and spiritual quests. But the biggest focus was undoubtedly in an area I had been interested in for more than a year before starting my sabbatical: alternatives to industrialized cosmetics and hygiene products. So I undertook a great amount of initiatives related to all natural cosmetics supply chain in a “test and learn” basis. Show less
