      “Make it happen!” This was not just a slogan, but a sentence I always told myself. It's my FIRST job. I chose to work here as a project manager—managing server product development for the client of a worldwide tier 1 server brand—that I could manage a large-scale project valued at US$6M+. Also, I wanted to polish my integration and problem-solving skills, which would advance my future career. In this job, I helped our company to generate sales by managing schedules, budgets, resource, risk, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from 5+ different units plus testing and factory teams, and resolving all problems.[Achievement] As a project manager, I needed to compete with limited time. Thus, I would use my resourcefulness to overcome this challenge. Although I was not a salesperson, my problem-solving skills helped bring in sales. During this time, the total value of the projects I managed was US$6M. [Attributes & Skills Formed] This job was challenging and time-sensitive, but it certainly sharpened my adaptation and organization. When I felt down, I learned how to reframe my case and treat it as nutrition for growth. Also, I learned about the importance of being principled—allowing people who collaborated with me to deliver consistent results.       When promoting to a Sr. Project Manager, I expand my duty, not just following specs and managing projects (Server). Rather, I need to clarify the requirements from the world-class clients and then lead RD team to define specs and feasibility, test the concept, and craft prototypes to ensure customer satisfaction. During the process, I closely collaborate with electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, system integration, thermal solution, and power supply, up to 40 members to meet clients' needs. [Achievement] Among all of the projects I've handled, what I was proud of was I helped us to craft our first self-developed server. It was tough. Because I had to do it from scratch, including conducting a market survey, defining specs, planning timetables and budgets, testing standards, and building prototypes, while listening to prospects to sell it in the future. However, we made it! Plus, we also helped salespeople to promote this product through a prototype and later effectively supported salespeople to sell it to many world-class clients within one year by customizing this product. [Habits] ★ Extensive and Strategic Thinking When managing any task, I will clarify what the end goal is. It'll allow me to think extensively and strategically to work smart. When facing a challenge, I'll break down the issue and evaluate the resources in hand, i.e., time, people, and actions to figure out better solutions. ★ Good Communicator I make a note for each discussion and use a visual tool to help audiences to catch the point soon. ★ Humble and Sincere No ONE is minor. With plentiful project experience to help our company expand sales, I know everyone is critical—even if he/she is not in the spotlight.
