  I had been selected for the opportunity to be able to spend a week in the government Civil service in my first year of university, shadowing figures who work in various departments and scrutinise the government from finances to planning. I helped build reports on certain matters as well as helping to critique reports that were presented by other departments and attending various meetings regarding a pool of different issues.
