Oversaw 68 police officers, managed a fleet of 30+ vehicles, and controlled an $8M budget.KEY RESULTS:• Spearheaded numerous complex investigations, including multi-jurisdictional cases. Investigated claims of official misconduct by politicians.• Established an annual evaluation program and early-warning system to identify exemplary employees and staff members in need of additional mentoring/on-going training.• Served as key management consultant for the organization; leveraged prior experience as a union official to negotiate and secure new collective bargaining agreements.• Led state-of-the art design and IT infrastructure for complete renovation of police headquarters; collaborated with architect and contractors to ensure achievement of key deliverables and deadlines.• Transformed IT infrastructure, database management, and system networking; designed IT security to comply with strict federal and state laws.• Overhauled all existing procedures (2011) and introduced over 50 new agency policies; ensured compliance with 100 internal and external best practices standards.• Introduced Conducted Energy Device (Taser) and Body Camera programs – among the first of their kind in New Jersey. o Body Camera program success is now used as a model for other agencies.o Selected to serve on a panel with the NJ Attorney General for writing a statewide body camera directive.
