  Over the course of my degree I was able to hone my writing and analytical skills by completing a number of assignments. This also involved extensive research. I worked as part of a team on many projects and also gained extensive experience of giving presentations.

  My research/writing focuses on modern Irish history, particularly the revolutionary period (1916-1923). I have had articles published in History Ireland, the Irish News, Saothar: Journal of the Irish Labour History Society and Ireland’s Eye. I am a regular contributor to Ireland's Own magazine. I have also written articles for the Irish Story website. In addition, I have recently assisted with research for various upcoming academic books.
