This design and build project demanded a collaborative effort among consultants and contractors to produce a well-finished, functional space that satisfies the requirements of a contemporary learning environment.The new Farmlands Staff Courtyard was also completed, featuring some distinctive materials and achieving a high-quality finish.Furthermore, the new King Edward Barracks Car Park for Ngāi Tahu was finished. This is a new 20,000m² facility in Christchurch, offering 700 parking spaces. Despite the tight schedule and restricted site access, the construction was completed punctually and to a high standard of finish. Show less

  Our team has successfully completed the latest project—a new electrical substation in Rangiora, Canterbury for Mainpower. This facility will provide a secure and reliable power network for the rapidly growing Waimak region. I have had the privilege of working with an outstanding group of individuals who have tirelessly persevered through COVID restrictions and challenging weather conditions to complete the civil works associated with the substation.I am pleased to report that this project has been a collaborative effort, with the client, consultants, and subcontractors all working together to find practical solutions to the many and varied challenges we faced. My thanks go to everyone involved in this project for their contributions in bringing it to a successful conclusion. Show less I have just finished the extension and renovation of the Burwood Spinal Unit, and it is now my honor to present it to the exceptional staff of the Spinal unit. They can continue their crucial work in this modern facility, serving those in need from Taupo to Bluff. The construction demanded a team effort, and I am delighted to report that the final product reflects this collaboration. The integration of the new and existing sections of the building is flawless, and the finishes meet the stringent standards of the infection control team. The passive fire protection systems are top-notch, providing staff and patients with vital time during an evacuation. The staff have provided excellent feedback, expressing their excitement about working in an environment that enhances patient care. As someone involved in this meaningful project, I am immensely proud of what we have achieved. This state-of-the-art facility stands as one of the most advanced train washes globally and will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the Kiwirail team. Having delivered exceptional work in an aging workshop for many years, this new environment will enable them to continue their high standards of service in a purpose-built setting.We were fortunate to work with an outstanding group of subcontractors who demonstrated exceptional collaboration to complete this project, despite the unprecedented challenges of 2020.
