      Conducted literature review on emotional regulation programs for children with autism spectrum disorder to determine the most effective program for the site. Completed grant proposal for funding to implement emotional regulation program in the future. Developed six virtual parent training courses on occupational therapy topics with guidance from center’s occupational therapist.       I first became involved with Sensory Enhanced Aquatics (SEA) as a swim instructor during my Level I Service Learning experience through KUMC. After my Service Learning experience concluded, I continued as a swim instructor for the program. As an instructor, I taught one-on-one adaptive swimming lessons and water safety skills to children aged 4-17 with autism spectrum disorder. I also collaborated with parents and caregivers to set goals and communicate progress, led group games with other instructors and swimmers to facilitate social interaction, and trained the first-year instructors. Managed a 16-unit caseload of four to 12 patients daily. Engaged in interprofessional communication during in-patient rehabilitation team meetings, co-treatment sessions, and discharge planning.
